The UIC Center for Cardiovascular Research collaborates with different Research Cores on the UIC campus including the Research Resource Center (RRC) and has facilities directed by faculty members who are experts in particular research areas.

CCVR Research Cores:
Physiology Core
The Physiology Core provides measurements of cardiac function in mice, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs employ invasive and non-invasive techniques (echo-cardiography and telemetry) and generation of models of cardiac disorders.
Viral Vector Core
The Viral Vector core provides researchers with a single facility where they can access a comprehensive range of resources and services for gene transfer purposes. The Core constructs, purifies and titers recombinant adenovirus, adeno-associated virus and lentivirus.
